Design-Led Materials Finale: Talk, Show & Tell and Discussion

Five collaborative teams of researchers with partners from UCL, Manchester, Leeds, the Crick Institute, Goldsmiths, CRI, the London College of Fashion and Dundee have been working on design-led materials research and community-building projects over the last 6 months.
In this finale they are coming together to meet other members of the design and materials research community, talk about their projects, show some of the progress and outcomes of these pilots, and discuss the pros and cons of working between disciplines.
Projects vary from the integration of wearable, stretchable screen-printed sensors into a glove for performance art and physiotherapy, to a series of workshops aimed at bringing designers and biologists together to come up with new ideas for products based on biomaterials.
