Get up to speed on Fusion 360 software - fast. This masterclass will provide your with a solid grounding in CAD (Computer Aided Design) fundamentals. Fusion 360 is a programme (free to students) used to digitally model or render objects in 3D, and then manufacture these through 3D printing or CNC milling. This is the same software used daily by a wide range of professions such as industrial designers, electrical engineers, machinists, artists, hobbyists and startups.
To attend this workshop, participants need to download and activate Fusion 360 on their laptop in advance (the software is free to hobbyists), and bring this in for the event.
Alex Martinucci is an applications engineer for UltimakerGB and an education advisor for CREATE Education. Alex works to find solutions to production issues or inefficiencies in the workflow of a factory and fix them using 3D printers, as well as using 3D printers outside his job for his hobbies. If you have any questions about printers make sure you don't hold back!
This masterclass is suitable for ages 18+, aside from that, no experience or skill necessary, all welcome!
Important information about our ticket ballot for this event:
- We are using a ballot system for ticket booking for our Festival of Stuff masterclasses.
- Entering the ballot means that you've entered into a draw for the opportunity to book a ticket to a masterclass. From Tuesday 9th May onwards, successful entrants will be sent a booking link, which must be completed within 24 hours to secure a ticket.
- Unfortunately, the ballot may be oversubscribed, so entering it doesn’t guarantee that you’ll be offered tickets.
- The ballot is open for a limited time: from 5:00am on Friday 5th May until 23:59pm on Monday 8th May.
- Once tickets are fully booked, we will notify everyone and offer the opportunity to join the waiting list.
