Transform a clear pane of glass into a one-of-a-kind experimental mirror, with designer and artist Attua Aparicio. In this fun and creative session, participants will join Attua to pair specialist and everyday materials, explore the aesthetic nature and history of mirror-making, and enjoy the freedom that comes with mark-making. At the end of the masterclass, participants will take home their very own hand-made mirror.

Attua Aparicio is a London-based artist and co-founder of Silo Studio working in the intersection of design, craft and art. At the core of her practice lies an experimental way of understanding and working with materials free from prejudice and preconception. Her practice is driven by material research and direct hands-on experimentation. She is interested in sustainability, material hybridization and tactility. At the moment she is focused on combining ceramics and waste glass.                                                                                                                                                                                           

Important information about our ticket ballot for this event:

• We are using a ballot system for ticket booking for this workshop.
• Entering the ballot means that you've entered into a draw for the opportunity to book a ticket to a making session. From Tuesday 9 May onwards, successful entrants will be sent a booking link, which must be completed within 24 hours to secure a ticket.
• Unfortunately, the ballot may be oversubscribed, so entering it doesn’t guarantee that you’ll be offered tickets.
• The ballot is open for a limited time: from 5:00am on Friday 5th May until 23:59pm on Monday 8th May.
• Once tickets are fully booked, we will notify everyone and offer you the opportunity to join the waiting list.
