Online Festival of Stuff: Morning - TinkerCAD for Absolute Beginners Masterclass
Saturday 10 June 2023 10:30am - 12:00pm
Tickets available
Join us to learn the basics of CAD design using TinkerCAD, a fun and simple online CAD (Computer Aided Design) program. You will be taken through the software starting with adding and adjusting simple 3D shapes through combining and cutting them to create more complex forms and finally how to export models for 3D printing and other applications. The session will take place on Zoom so you can design on your own computer and follow along from anywhere.
George is a Creative Technologist and former Institute of Making technician with a keen interest in making and all things digital. He has a background in digital fabrication and robot design and is part of the team behind the programmable robot head Ohbot.
Important information about our ticket ballot for this event:
- We are using a ballot system for ticket booking for this workshop.
- Entering the ballot means that you've entered into a draw for the opportunity to book a ticket to a making session. From Tuesday 9 May onwards, successful entrants will be sent a booking link, which must be completed within 24 hours to secure a ticket.
- Unfortunately, the ballot may be oversubscribed, so entering it doesn’t guarantee that you’ll be offered tickets.
- The ballot is open for a limited time: from 5:00am on Friday 5th May until 23:59pm on Monday 8th May.
- Once tickets are fully booked, we will notify everyone and offer you the opportunity to join the waiting list.
